Screen colour distortion (no drop)

Do I need to replace both screens of my iPad Air 2 in order to fix the colour distortion and ‘negative’ effects on images and wide font text? My iPad has not not been dropped or bumped. Worked fine in the evening, but the following morning when switched on most images reflected this negative issue as well as the darker colours being distorted to include other unrelated colours? Any suggestions would be most welcome...

Hi IPadAir2Screeny,

It may be worth your time to ensure you have a backup of your data (How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch), then Restore your iPhone. You can learn how to do so here: Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings.

Once complete, Setup as a New Device (do not restore your backup).

If the issue persists, Contact Apple Support.

If the issue is resolved, go ahead and restore your backup. You can learn how to do so here: Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup.

If the issue recurs once your backup is restored, there may be an issue with your user data, in which case we would recommend you sync what content you can to iCloud, then erase your device and setup as a New Device. You can turn iCloud on and have the data that you previously synced to iCloud return. You will need to re-download your apps and adjust your user settings to your preference.

Set up iCloud on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Change your iCloud feature settings

Hope this helps!

Cheers!

Hi IPadAir2Screeny,

We understand you are experiencing display anomalies on your iPad.

We would recommend ensuring no Display & Text Size Accessibility features are enabled. You can learn more here: Use display and text size preferences on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.

If the issue persists once disabled, we would recommend you Contact Apple Support.

Hope this helps!
