start over with a new apple id

Many years ago, I didn't realize that iCloud, iTunes, the app store, etc only needed one ID. My problem is that I now have to many email addresses associated with my Apple ID. Sometimes, even though I'm signed into iTunes, another email ID will open & continually ask me to sign in. This has been going on for years. Quick fixes only work temporarily. Can I just delete the whole ID & start over.....new email & password? Thank you

Thank you, but I've tried. It seems that the different ID's (rogue) pop up randomly, though, even after I'm signed in on my phone or Mac, with the main one. I'm then either repeatedly prompted to sign in again, or told that there's a problem and the app store or iTunes can't be accessed. Like I said, I've tried many of the online suggestions, but don't think I'm tech savvy enough to get to the real root of the issue. It seems that you can add information to the Apple ID, but not delete any. That just makes things frustrating & complicated for my situation.

You can do that if you want to. All purchases made using an Apple ID and some of your data are tied to the ID. Delete the ID and you will need to download them using your new ID.

You might want to consider picking the one ID you use the most and use that for everything. You can try setting up Family Sharing between the IDs if you want to be able to share purchases made with the IDs.
