I am having issues in updating my whatsapp whenever i try to update it gives a reason “verification failed” and below it its written “your apple ID or Password is incorrect “ though all other applications are being used and updated from the same ID and password can anyone please guide me.

One more problem is i am also trying to backup my whatsapp messenger but thats also not happening its stuck on the same position since 2 days because to delete and reinstall the app i need to backup my whole chat as its very important.
It might be that these apps are connected to another apple ID used on the phone previously.
If that's the case, the best course of action would be to delete the apps and reinstall them, they would then be linked to your current account.
You will lose the local storage on those apps.
