why is my iMovie help in Chinese language.how to change language setting

Well, it was worth a try.

Before reinstalling, you might try deleting preferences since it is so easy to do. Open iMovie while holding down the Option

and Command keys and select to delete preferences in the box that appears. iMovie will open in a new library. Reopen your old library to get back to your projects. Now see if your language option works correctly.

Go to Apple Menu/System Preferences/Language and Region. Add English to the box and move it to the top of the language list if you have other languages in there. That should make English the language for all of your menus.

Just tried your suggestion. Can't open any help menu now, so have changed back to my region.

FYI I did it on the general tab, the App tab had no apps with a specific region assigned.

I'll just remove and re-install the app! I think it is a faulty app, I just did an update on it about a week ago.

My iMovie help menu is in Spanish. I have no other languages other than English selected. Do you have any other suggestions as to why this is the case?

I don't know why that is the case, if you have set your language preference per my earlier post. Have you tried setting your region from Europe (or whatever it may be) to the United States? You can always change it back again.
