What is the best mac OS for my Macbook Retina 12" Early 2015 model? Thanks

Hi! I recently updated my Macbook Retina 12" Early 2015 model to Catalina. Unfortunately, it DESTROYED my Macbook. Now I had it repaired and back to its built in OS which is Yosemite. However, I don't like Yosemite, it usually lags...has a delayed response. Which Mac OS do you think I should upgrade it to?

Which OS should I Download? I have a late 2015 imac desktop 4 GHz Intel Core 17 32 GB MHz DDR3 - I am using OS X El Capitan Version 10.11.6. My problem is that II cannot figure out which OS I need to upgrade to - if any. I notice that the latest OS is macOS Catalina. And that in between my current El Capitan and the latest - macOS Catalina there are three others: macOS Mojave - macOS High Sierra - macOS Sierra. Any helpful advice will be so appreciated - Thank you!!

It is advised always to use the latest macOS. Which is Catalina 10.15.6.

macOS Catalina can't destroy your MacBook.
