In the previous OS versions there was an All My Files option but now there is none
Why was that removed ? I think it was a good idea, f ex you could check for duplicates
Or sort by type. I could see how many files I created etc

Yes Apple in its infinite wisdom decided to remove that from the Finder Sidebar and replace it with
Recents.

I know, right? You could still do a Find (or Command + F), within a Finder window, to search files that you want to manage what's on your Mac.
