how do i unlock an ipad

my daughter put the wrong password in too many times and it disabled the ipad and says connect to itunes but it doesnt tell me what to do once i do that,

iPad 2, iOS 9

Follow the directions in this link EXACTLY --> If you forgot the passcode on your iPad, or your iPad is disabled - Apple Support
