Apple ID password stored in Keychain?

I just reset my Apple ID. Keychain still shows the old Apple ID. Also there are literally hundreds of Apple passwords listed, some show a change today and none of them show my new password. They are all about 15 characters, appear to be random. None are the password I just reset. What a confusing mess!

How do I get Keychain to store my new Apple ID password?

Also checked in Safari and it still shows my old passwords (yes several past ones).

Can I depend on either of these to help me remember my passwords??

Appreciate any help. Thanks!

I went back into Safari, after a few interactions of my apple password, apparently there are several steps to reset the Apple ID password on several devices. The new password was there, along with three older ones. I removed the older ones. So now my new Apple ID password can be found in Safari.

But Keychain is a mess. It doesn't even show my current Apple ID password. It does show a couple of dozen other things that were changed today when I changed my Apple ID password. Keychain is really a mess. Can't depend on it and can't find critical passwords there.
