On my 13.3" Macbook Pro the internal speaker recently started to sound garbled on the right speaker. Now 6 months later the left speaker has a garbled sound. Do I need new speakers?

Let's test to see if this happens when using different apps. This will help us in the isolation process. If this happens with different apps, lets reset the PRAM on you Mac. This setting can help with sound issues:
Reset NVRAM or PRAM on your Mac
If the issue persists, Contact Apple Support to have a physical examination to see if t his is a hardware issue.
