i locked my apple id

i locked my apple id by trying to enter the password in the appstore too many times. I reset my password the next day and it still showed incorrect when i typed it in. When i tried to enter my password in again, it said,"Password incorrect for **@gmail.com. The email belonged to the last owner.

Are there updates for apps downloaded by the last owner? One option is to delete the apps/purchases made by the other ID and download them using the new ID if desired. If necessary, check your purchases history to see which apps/purchases weren’t made by the current ID.
