When I am on a call, my new AirPods suddenly make be sound robotic to the person I'm talking to. When I tested it, I could hear the heavy-static like sound too. This has happened for the second time in less than a week. Last time, it fixed itself when I left it out for a while. Cleaning it made no difference. How do I fix this? Thank you.

Let's get those AirPods working as they should. It sounds like they make an occasional robotic/static sound. We will want to make sure your iPhone is updated, Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
After let's reset your AirPods and pair them again.

Thanks for updating that information. Were you able to remove the AirPods from the Mac's Bluetooth settings also? After removing them we can pair them back.

So the AirPods work fine when connected to my iPhone 11 but sound robotic when connected to my MacBook Pro. Both the devices are updated. The AirPods give the heavy static to the receivers end for a day or two and work for a few days but the issue comes back. I tried changing the audio setting by adjusting the input and output too.
