Screen Time Not Limiting Apps

I just transferred from an SE to a 6s, and the screen time feature is no longer limiting app usage. I have reset the settings multiple times, but I am still able to access the apps well beyond the added app limit. However, I have noticed the website for the apps (see instagram for example) does get blocked in Safari once I pass my app limit. The app does not get the time limit notification at all, while the url does. I want screen time to block the app not its url on safari.

I never had this issue on my SE. Is anyone else experiencing this? Is this a software update issue or a device issue? Anyone know a fix?

Hi again b81_,

Thanks for getting back to us. When you set up this iPhone, did you set it up from a backup or did you set it up as new? How long ago did you make the switch between your phones? We know you said you had reset your settings, did you mean you used the Reset All Settings option in the iPhone? Does it make any difference if you turn off your App Limits and then create them again freshly?

In case it has been a while, this article gives information about Screen Time: Use Screen Time on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

We look forward to hearing back from you.

Hi there b81_,

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. It looks like you are having an issue with your Screen Time. We want to help make sure it is working properly for you. Does this issue seem to consistently happen with certain apps? Does it ever work properly? Is this a child's device in a Family Sharing group?

Which iOS version do you have on this iPhone? If the iOS has an update available, lets start by updating your iPhone. Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

We look forward to hearing back from you!

I made the switch a couple of weeks ago and set the 6s up from the SE over wifi. I did not reset all settings on the 6s. I just reset the screen time settings. I have done that multiple times. Screen time is only working on the apps’ url sites and not the apps themselves. This is an issue I have seen other people ask about and those posts are over a year old. Please only respond if you have a solution to offer.

That article was not helpful by the way. I know how to turn on the screen time settings as you can see from my screen shot in my original post (the hour glass is on next to instagram and you can see the 30min limit set). It is on. The issue is that it is not working the way that it is supposed to/not actually limiting apps. Do not post unhelpful stuff like that again, please.
