I don’t need to restart the phone or wipe and start over. The phone works fine. I really wish that wasn’t the default response to any question as it’s not helpful at all.
my question was why am I seeing this. The phone was already connected to our WiFi. What does the large Wiggins symbol mean on the lock screen.
jlevin75,
What you are seeing on your screen is not a common occurrence nor is it normal. It should not be on your screen at all. Unless you have installed an app that has caused the Wi-Fi symbol to show up on your screen there is no way to determine what caused it to show up. Backing up your iPhone and then reinstalling the software will repair any issues that may be software related like this random Wi-Fi icon on your screen. Try uninstalling the last few apps you installed around the time you realized this symbol appeared on your lock screen. If that doesn't resolve the issue, then reinstalling your software would be the best solution.
You could also contact Apple Support and speak directly with an Apple representative for additional assistance.
Take Care.
