Officejet 6700 Communication Error

I just uninstalled and reinstalled the HP software for my OfficeJet 6700 All-In-One. Had no problems printing prior to the new software. I can scan from the printer to the iMac. But when trying to print, it tells me the computer is not communicating with the printer. I am connected via USB since my wireless piece on the printer died a few years ago.

Thanks for the suggestions folks. Based on the one above from MrHuffman, I ran the System Information check in the Solve printing problems on Mac. What I found was the printer not showing up, even though I could scan from it. I moved it from a USB 3.0 Hub, to directly into the Mac. Once I did this, it allowed me to install it as a Bonjour printer. That resolved the issue. Thanks all.
