Hey there, sorry to hear that. In my experience this article may help:

”If you see No Service or Searching on your iPhone or iPad”

https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201415

Most of the time one of those steps will fix it, if not, it might be a good idea to ask your wireless provider to try a new SIM card.

If all that doesn’t help, I’d contact Apple Support. It might depend on what model iPhone you have as well as far as troubleshooting the issue, to be sure, and your carrier has ruled out any issues on their end, I’d contact Apple Support for more suggestions.

If you do have an iPhone 7 model, and the troubleshooting o I’ve hasn’t fixed it, you can check this website to see if your phone is eligible for this program:

IPhone 7 Repair program for “No Service” Issues:

https://support.apple.com/iphone-7-no-service

However the proper troubleshooting and inspection may still need to be done to determine a cause.

Hope that helps and that it works out okay!

Cheers--or not so much? We have an iPhone 6S that auto-updated this week and suffered the "No Service" problem as well.

I went to my provider and tried the usual problem-solving ideas--Soft reset, Carrier Settings, etc. They gave me a new SIM card as well--without luck. It is not a Carrier Issue.

Next I went to Apple Support. They went through many of the same steps--finally hooking it up to a Macbook and doing a full erase and re-imaging of the iPhone like you would with a new device. Guess what? The iPhone can no longer read SIM cards due to the update. The Apple live-advice was that the iPhone 6S is old and I should buy a new iPhone. In fact, they could sell me a replacement iPhone 6S for $299. (WTF?) Great advice! Phone was made obsolete after update and I should buy new phone--thanks!
