Is there anyway to resize the safari window to its original size and align it in the centre?

If you in the Full Screen mode, try command - control - F.
If the window enlarged to fill from top to bottom, try holding down the option/alt key, and clicking the green button in the top left corner of the window.
After trying the above, if necessary, click and hold on the top window bar (where the URL is), then drag it to the desired position.
