airpods on facetime trouble

my airpods make a funny robotic noise when i am on facetime and or zoom those on the other end but they sound perfectly fine to me, what do i do? i have cleaned them and still no change. but only through my laptop?

My AirPods make me sound like a robot Whenever I make facetime or zoom calls recently, my airpods makes me sound like a robot to my friends and teacher on the other end of the call. Everything sounds fine on my end. I have fiddled with my audio settings quite a bit and nothing has worked. Does anybody know how to fix this?

Robotic sound when AirPods connected to mac When my AirPods are connected to my mac, the mic sounds robotic when I am on FaceTime with someone. On my phone and other devices my AirPod mic and sounds quality is fine, however, when connected to my mac it is super robotic... Is this a problem with my mac? How can I fix it?
