My daughter lost her iCloud password and now she cannot unlock the iphone 5 that I gave her.
She tried recovering her icloud password but she could not do it.

Could you please help me help her activating her phone?

If your daughter is forgetful of passwords, have her write them down is a secure place. Also consider using a password manager service such as Lastpass (https://lastpass.com) or Dashlane (https://www.dashlane.com).
