Apple TV app verification failed error on Fire TV Cube 1st generation

I have a 1st generation Fire TV Cube and have been unable to sign into my Apple account on the Apple TV app. Both the Fire TV OS (6.2.7.3 NS6273/2773, with Fire TV Home Version 6240499.1) and the Apple TV app (version 4.1) have been updated the latest version. I've gone through various posts by users with a similar problem and tried reinstalling, the app and doing a factory reset. Nothing has worked so far.

I also have a Fire TV 4K stick running the same version of the Fire TV OS, and the Apple TV app works fine on that device.

If there are other fixes that I can try, can you please kindly pass this information to the software development team?

It seems that I might not have been fully signed into my iPhone, so when I completed another login on my iPhone, I was able to sign in on the Fire TV Cube with the mobile option.

Let's first take a look at this resource that we were able to gather. This resource explains that if you have Two-Factor Authentication turned on that you will receive a verification code when signing in. On the Fire TV Cube you will need to enter your password followed by the 6-digit code to sign in. We recommend taking a look at this resource of getting a verification code to sign in to your Apple ID.
