I want to use option-command-f shortcut to do advance search in office applications, Since this has already been taken by full screen. how do i change it.

I want to use option-command-f shortcut to do advance search in office applications, like in outlook i want to use this shortcut to do advance search, and same with oneNote. Since this has already been taken by full screen. how do i change it.

In addition to what Barney said: macOS allows to assign keyboard shortcuts to any menu in System Preferences->Keyboard->Shortcuts.

Select App Shortcuts, click +, select the desired application and type the text of the menu exactly.

Not on any Mac I've ever owned. And, there isn't a "Maximize" function on macOS. There is Zoom and there is Full Screen. Zoom doesn't have a keyboard shortcut and Full Screen should be cmd-ctrl-f. Maybe it is a localization thing, but I don't see why it would need to be. Since I hate Full Screen, I have the Finder set to Find by Name on cmd-ctrl-F, but every view menu shows Full Screen as cmd-ctrl-F, even Office 2019


On Catalina, cmd-opt-f currently goes to the search function, if the app supports it. Safari and Finder both go to the search field (address bar in Safari, but that is search).
