How do input a port setting for Telstra mail on my imac

If you need to manually manage the server settings,

Open the Accounts tab of Mail's Preferences.

Select the account.

Select the Server Settings tab

Uncheck "Automatically manage connection settings"

If you need to set the port on the SMTP server, select Edit SMTP list… from the "Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) popup menu.
