No emoji when I text- no globe symbol either

Under keyboards, it shows English with a check mark after and a Emoji with no check mark. I also don’t have a globe on bottom left when I text. How do I get emojis back for texting on my iPad?

iPad, iPadOS 13

Hello M0716,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.

It appears that you ar having an issue with the emoji keyboard not showing up. What do you see when you go to Settings > General > Keyboard > Keyboards? If you don't see emoji keyboard on the top section then tap "Add New Keyboard" and find emoji to add it back.

If you see the emoji keyboard in the top section, select "Edit" and remove the emoji keyboard, restart the iPhone and re-add it.

If you continue to have the issue, get back with us and we can see where to go from there.

Best regards.

M0716,

Thanks for that information. If you are not seeing the option to add the emoji keyboard from the listing under Keyboards in Settings, then we will need to add it back and that means reinstalling iOS. This shouldn't result in the loss of data on your iPad, but we will want to get a current backup of your iPad as a safety measure.

Take a look at this support article to make a current backup of your iPad.

Once you have a current backup of your iPad, you can use the steps in the following article to reinstall iOS on the iPad. When you get to step 4 in this article, you will want to make sure that you select "Update" to prevent erasing your data.
