I have a lot of old apps on my iPhone and other devices that I have not used in years. I want to delete these apps to free up space on my iCloud account. What steps do I need to delete these old apps off my iCloud account?
Sorry if I created any confusion. What I meant was that the backup stores which apps were installed on your phone at the time of the backup but it doesn't store the full size apps with the backup. Once you restore your device from the backup the apps will show on your phone but they will have to be downloaded from the AppStore before you can use them.

Apps aren't stored in iCloud.
The apps should only take up a tiny amount of space of the phone cloud backup since all of the Apps will be downloaded again from the App store if you restore a new phone from said backup. The apps themselves are not stored in iCloud.
Hi apfelkopf, but I’m confused. Are you saying that if I restore a new phone from my backup. The apps I download to the new device will not store in iCloud?
