What you lose when you cancel Apple Music

What do you lose when you cancel Apple Music? Just downloaded music and playlists from Apple Music, right? It won't impact the music and playlists I've paid for in iTunes?

iPhone X, iOS 13

Correct.

Purchased music is unaffected. You will still have access to that.

You will however lose access to the iCloud Music Library. So anything that got matched or uploaded from a computer's iTunes librarry, will stop being available to other devices over iCloud. You will need to revert to direct sycning with the computer to get them on iOS devices.
