Apple Folio Keyboard not working

My Apple folio keyboard will not work on my iPad Pro 12.9” running ios13.7

I have cleaned the contacts, checked for updates, and powered the device off and on again. Frequently get “accessory not supported” or it just doesn’t recognize the typing I’m doing on the keyboard.
