Alert that my iWatch was paired with my phone

My iWatch has been paired with my iPhone without interruption for over 2 years. I received an alert this morning saying that my iWatch was paired with my phone and if I didn't do this to ignore. I went to Find My Device app and it says my iWatch is 5 miles from where I'm at, with the date, September 6, 2020 at 10:39 AM in red, but it is on my arm. The location of my iPhone is correct. When I push Play Sound, I hear it on my watch. Should I delete my iWatch and re-pair it with my phone?

Hello Jlwreyes,

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities! We understand that you received a notification stating that an Apple Watch was paired and the Find My location is incorrect. Let’s take a look and see what we can do. We're happy to help!

Let's first make sure that you only have your current Apple Watch paired with your Apple ID. This resource will walk you through checking your device list. If you recognize any Apple Watches that should not be there, we recommend selecting the device and removing it from your account.

Check your Apple ID device list to see where you're signed in

We also do recommend unpairing your Apple Watch and re-pairing if the location remains inaccurate. Please make sure you backup your Apple Watch before unpairing.

Back up your Apple Watch

Unpair and erase your Apple Watch

Set up your Apple Watch

Have a great day!
