I keep getting calls from somebody saying that my either iCloud or at my Apple iPhone is seeing suspicious activity and not to use it and I just wondered if that’s a total scam it seems like it is but I just thought I’d ask

It's "a total scam." Apple will never "cold call" a customer with that, or any other information. You can safely ignore the call/block the number.
