When i use my iphone 11 to airplay video to apple tv. Other apps I’m using take over whats playing on apple tv. How do i choose/ prevent other apps and media from taking over whats playing on apple tv from my iphone? Or can i not use my iphone while I airplay? This would be a super disappointing feature as other devices let you choose whats playing.

Based on your example, yes it would be expected behavior that if you start playing a new video on your iPhone when AirPlaying, the new video will play and the old video would go away on your Apple TV. Hi, I’m not having troubling operating Airplay. I’m asking if its possible to stop media you don’t wont to watch on apple tv from taking over airplay Video/media you are already watching. Say if you are streaming some movie from your iphone onto your apple tv through airplay and you open safari and search for something and a video add or just any video on the screen will take over the movie you are watching on airplay. Do you know what I mean? Is it possible to have media play on your phone without it playing on airplay?
