Missing some effects in FCPX

So I had a problem with iMovie and decided to give FCPX a try. I downloaded the trial for 90 days and I used it for about 3-4 days now and each day I seem to lose effects. When I downloaded it, it said there would be no limitations so I'm kind of confused on why I'm missing effects. I ignored it at first because i thought made it would come back but now Ive been missing the keying effect for 3 days and I cant do the things I want to do in the application. Anything helps.

Redownload the application. Open it. If the effects are there, close it and zip the application. Keep working until you lose them again. If it happens, unzip the downloaded application and keep going.

Try moving the application to the trash and redownloading it.

I did this and it worked for about a day. Now I'm missing main effects I need again like keyer, have any more solutions?

No, it doesn’t change or delete any of your work.

As I wrote before, the application will start in a default state. Just open the library you were working on and everything will still be there.

I redownloaded the app several times and I cant get those effects back to even try the method you listed. I don't know what's going on, does this happen often?

So Im doomed basically? like the WHOLE keying folder isn't even there.

This is most unusual.

Try deleting preferences.

To delete preferences, hold down command and option while starting FCP X and click Delete Preferences.

The application will start in a default state, and open an "Untitled" library. Reopen the library you were working on, set the preferences the way you like them, and try again.

Also, just in case there is a conflict with some third party software: Please run Etrecheck and post its full report here. Use the "additional text" button and paste the report into the text box.
