I was using a iphone 7 a year back and now i restored my phone as I forgot my screen passcode but it still does not allow me to use it as I am getting activation lock error.
how can I go through This activation lock? I tried that icloud method where it is only showing my current device (iphoneX) not IPhone 7.

You have to use the same Apple ID and password to remove activation lock that you used to set the phone up originally. If you don’t remember your Apple ID, you can try to recover it.

If you still aren’t having any success, you can try taking the phone to an Apple Store along with the receipt/proof of purchase and ask if they can help you.
