Apple Store

On my school issued iPad, I cannot figure out how to update or get into the App Store to download what my teachers said to download for class. When I press the Apple Store icon a screen comes up that says the apple store app has been updated and to download the new version on the App Store. When I press download, it takes me to apps.apple.com but I cannot find any sort of button or anything that says update.

downloading the new version of the App Store on ipad I have set up my new ipad and when trying to open the App Store I get a message 'The Apple Store app has been updated. Download the new version of the App Store'. There is an update button that you have to click, which takes you to the Apple website, but there is no option to update the App. There is a pop up at the top of the screen that shows that this App is currently installed, so when you click on that it takes you back to the screen noted above with the same message: 'The Apple Store app has been updated. Download the new version of the App Store'. I cannot get out of this loop to update the App Store to download the apps needed on this new ipad (not being restored from a previous version).
