Using Files app, returns "you do not have sufficient rights/permissions"

I am trying to Zip folder or files in Files App on iPad Pro and it returns error message saying I do not have rights to store the file... Any idea how to solve it?

Thanks for advice.

Hello poradteprosim,

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. It seems that you are unable to ZIP files in the Files app on your iPad. When you attempt to ZIP the file/folder you receive an error in regards to file permissions. Does this happen with every file that you try to ZIP? Or is it only happening with a specific folder?

Use the Files app on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.

We suggest you try the following troubleshooting steps, testing after each step:

  1. Restart your iPad.
  2. Verify that the OS is up to date. Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
  3. Try selecting a different folder and test. How to open ZIP files on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.
  4. Create a new folder, move the files into that folder, and test again.

If you are unable to ZIP any files/folders in the Files app, you may want to turn off iCloud Drive and then turn it back on. You can do so by tapping Settings> Your Name> iCloud> iCloud Drive.

Cheers!
