Apple Watch accessories

Hi, yesterday I bought Apple Watch 5 series, but watchband included in box (size s\m) didn’t attach. Can I change this accessorise or what should I do in this situation?

Be sure your sliding it in the correct side up. It won't latch otherwise. Change your Apple Watch band - Apple Support

im sure, that I’m doing right, with other bands and with band ml I didn’t have a problem. But band sm is not latch. Can you give other advise, but not guide ?
