External wired USB Apple keyboard having problems after wiping it down with water

Hey there - searched high and low for this issue but no one seems to have this specific problem with their external USB keyboard:

I wiped down my external full-sized (with numeric keys) official Apple USB (wired) keyboard and now the entire "7 8 9 -" row on my numeric pad side is not working, as well as a few F keys on top. The fried keys in question are not showing as responsive in keyboard viewer. Every other key works fine. I foolishly did not unplug my keyboard before I wiped it down. I used very very little water but it seemed to be enough to fry those keys.

How do I fix this? There seems to be zero advice on how to properly dismantle the thing and address what could be water damage. Since the entire row is not working I believe this to indeed be a hardware issue, plus it came up immediately after my wipedown. The unplugged keyboard has been sitting on a shelf in my dry room for about 3 months now; wanted to see if it would come back to life on its own, but alas, it hasn't.

I managed to remove the keys themselves but no idea what to do next or what might help. Could there still be water in there after 3 months? If not, is there some other trick I could use to try resuscitating this keyboard? All advice welcome, thanks!

Then it may or may not be an A1243. Look for a number resembling it on the bottom, between Model No. and EMC No. Any difference is probably insignificant and probably relates to the icons on the F3 / F4 keys.

Any USB keyboard will work but if you want a new one and can find it at any reasonable price, buy it. They're not making any more of them. $75 or so.
