safari freezes on certain pages

safari freezes on certain pages

The homepage I use freezes. I have set the advanced preference font size to 14 or less as recommended. Any other suggestions?

Hi, thank for the reply and suggestion. I was running MacOS 10.15.6 but I did reinstall it.Unfortunately this did not help. Prior to doing this I cleaned all the caches and web data and ran disc utility and also booted in safe mode. Nothing has really helped so far. The page freezes before I even try to hit a link to another page. Also I can go to my bookmarks and they will load and work. Perhaps I will change my home page as it is the only page that has trouble. The page is all that is frozen not the computer or the rest of safari.

I did change the homepage and the new one works fine. I added a link on the new page to to theold page and when I went there it still locked up. So I am going to use the new page since that other page seems to give safari a problem. Thank both of you for the suggestions.

Thanks for the followup. Everything is resolved. I truly appreciate the community support. On the rare occasion that I have an issue that i am unable to resolve, the community has always responded positively and helped me to isolate and resolve the issue.
