iTunes balance

I was down to about $ 6.00 on my account. I added two $15.00 cards and my balance now totals $30.00, what happened to the other $ 6.00 I had ? Isn't this account suppose to have a running total when you add money ?

If you don't see anything on your Purchase history, See your purchase history for the App Store or iTunes Store. Contacting Apple, would be the next best step. Our Account and Billing specialists can assist further.

Open the App Store. If you see the sign-in button at the bottom of the sidebar, click it and sign in with your Apple ID.

There was no button at the bottom...Guess you didn't read my first inquiry correctly. I had a balance of $6.00 in my iTunes account balance. I bought 2 $15.00 gift cards and added it to my account. Im no mathematician but 6 + 30 = 36.00...My balance only showed $30.00....So what happened to my $6.00 that I had to start with My Mac is highSerria 10.13 system. very old pc.
