Why is my email showing up as my number ?
I just got a new phone and my Apple ID is sending as my number to friends and family. I tried to select my number in iMessages and all I get is a loading bar. I tried to restart my phone a million times and it still continues to do this. I have tried everything I could and I have looked up but yet it still won’t work. All I am trying to do is switch my old phone to my new phone.
what did I do wrong ?

Is the phone number that shows in Messages the phone number of the new phone? If not, you (they) need to change the number on the Apple ID. Sign out of Messages/FaceTime on all computers/devices before making the change. Then allow 24 hours for the change to sync.
