Restore disk to a single macOS partition - reclaiming unallocated space left from Win

I had a bootcamp partition. Bootcamp failed to install Windows, so I deleted the partition. No, no, no, I didn't use Bootcamp to delete this partition. But this is where I am - I now have 500 GB unallocated on my 2 TB disk. I don't want to reformat my SSD to reclaim these unallocated (orphan) GBs. Does anyone know how to do this (please don't tell me to "remove via Bootcamp"), that ship sailed.

Thanks.

Now, with all other partitions deleted, the space is freed up and Disk Utility now recognizing the entire SSD.

However, notice that the "Free Space" is grayed out, preventing any modifications to it.

Your next recommended step was to merge the Free Space back into macOS.
