I want to set up two external displays for my 2018 Mac Book Pro 15", and following the instructions to determine what displays would work, I tried Apple Menu > About This Mac > Support > Specifications and got an error message:

"Safari Can't Open the Page

Too many redirects occurred trying to open https://support.apple.com/kb/SP776?locale=en-us&viewlocale=en_US. This might occur if you open a page that is redirected to open another page which then is redirected to open the original page."

This is absurd, support pages built into Apple's own system support menu don't work. I can't even get started.

Try this:

https://support.apple.com/kb/SP776

It's the exact same URL without the redundant localization tags repetitiously redirecting to themselves redundantly.

The following loads a US-specific page, assuming that's what Apple intended:

https://support.apple.com/kb/SP776?locale=en_US

Same here - and its been that way for months on end. Apple tells me there is a glitch that they've been working on.

Leave Apple Feedback:

  1. Go Here: Feedback - macOS - Apple
  2. Select: "Bug Report" for the "Feedback Type"
  3. Select: "Applications/Utilities" for the "Feedback Area"
  4. Proceed from there as necessary

This fixed it but it is unbelievable that a billion dollar company can't use a correct url!

<just kidding>It's incredulous that you think a $T company isn't doing it right. Couldn't resist given the OP's name and the implication by you that a $T company doesn't know what they are doing. I think if I was a $T company I would do what ever I want. </just kidding>
