Removing an unwanted icon.

I have an icon that looks like a black square with a white circle in the center. It can be moved to any edge on the screen but it doesn’t jiggle when touching it and so it won’t let me remove it. When opened it has selections for the control center, device, home, Siri and notifications. It stays on every screen is often in the way and dims while not used. Any suggestions on how remove it?

You’ve clearly managed to activate the Assistive Touch feature. Details here:

Use AssistiveTouch on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch – Apple Support

To disable:

Settings > Accessibility > Touch > AssistiveTouch > AssistiveTouch - set to OFF

It is a customized setting you can use for various functions including screen shots.

Go to Settings > Accessibility > Touch > Assistive Touch > disable it (turn it off).

Or, you can customize it to show easy one tap access to various functions. Yes, it doesn't disappear and is always visible; I just move it around if it's in my way.

Edit: LotusPilot's post did not show until after I hit post - disregard.
