Activation locked iPad
I bought an IPad Air 2 from someone who claimed it was theirs and when I factory reset it, it had an activation lock? What can I do about this situation?? Is there anything I would be able to do??

Nope. You've clearly been scammed and you've purchased a useless device, which Apple won't help you with, nor can we help you.

Always better to buy a brand new device or if you want to save some money Apple sells Refurbished devices with a full one year warranty.
You can recycle it at an Apple Store or a Best Buy store. It's not wise destroying it. There is a lithium ion battery inside. Let Apple or Best buy recycle it responisbly.
There is nothing you can do without the Apple ID and Password of the original user which is a theft prevention feature. Try to get your money back. If you can't, recycle responsibly.
Thank you, There won’t be a next time for me... I rather pay full retail price from now on for any tech device!
Where would I be able to recycle it?? Can I just take a bat to it... n get my moneys worth on destroying it?? Lol
Thank you once more your information was insightful and will do as you say!
You're welcome and I'm sorry to see you are one in an incredibly long line of people who got and continue to get scammed daily.
