Deleted texts on phone

I somehow deleted ONE text thread I needed to save.....

I have iCloud Drive/iCloud on for messages and anything important. SPECIFICALLY incase I lost this text thread....

its been a cpl days since it happened. I know my phone has since backed It self up. Is there a way to go back to a previous “back up date” and restore it from there? (I know I’ll lose anything that happened after the date I go back to)

also.... I am really not phone savvy, lol. I’m only 30 something.... but, if someone could Explain what to do..... slowly... step by step..... as if they are explaining it to their grandmother.... that would be amazing 🤣🤣🖤.
