AppleTV+ keeps requesting sign in

purchased 1 month subscription to AppleTV+ to try it; purchase confirmed. The app appears on my iPad and on my Amazon Fire home screen list of “my apps.” When I try to watch a show (e.g., The Morning Show, Dickinson), I get this message: To watch this content, sign in to the iTunes Store. What? I have turned off my TV several times, and still cannot watch any shows. Please advise.

You will have to sign in to the Apple TV app, to let it know your Apple ID account, so it can link that to a subscription.
