Noise notifications when woodworking

Any fellow woodworkers think this idea appealing? ... I’m a woodworker and use loud saws (always with hearing protection). It would be handy to have a button on the notification screen that would enable me to temporarily suspend noise notifications, say, for the next hour. Since I always use hearing protection, the notifications are unnecessary and distracting when I’m in my shop. (The initial notification is useful in case I have forgotten to insert my protection.)

It sounds like you're wanting to suspend notifications temporarily when you have your AirPods in.

Thanks — that’s helpful, (although I don’t have AirPods.) I can use the Do Not Disturb feature to temporarily disable notifications, if I remember to turn it on in advance.

However, the cited article states:

“You can also change the settings for specific apps from your iPhone. On your iPhone, open the Apple Watch app, go to the My Watch tab, and tap Sounds & Haptics.”

I could not find an option to change the Sounds & Haptics specifically for the Noise app.

Thanks for clarifying that the issue is specifically with the Noise app notification. You're right, and it looks like the notification sound for this specific app can't be changed. Since this is currently not a feature, please leave feedback here: Product Feedback - Apple.
