My IPhone 6S+'s touchscreen doesn't work during calls

Whenever I call or receive a call, my touchscreen stops working. I have resort to using my AirPods to pickup and end calls.

I've tried turning off my phone and turning it back on and it worked for a while but then stopped working again.

I've removed my screen protector and it still doesn't work.

We've tested to see if the problem is with noise playing from the phone but that isn't the case either.

you may have a hardware problem

First try a forced restart

https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/iphone/iph8903c3ee6/ios

If that does not help you may need to take it in for inspection and you will need to back it up and wipe it, so why not try that now.

The next procedure would be to restore your device, and setup the device without restoring a backup, to see if the issue is replicated. I would first make sure you have a backup so your data is saved.

Here is a guide for those steps:

How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod to factory settings

and see how it goes

If no improvement send it for repair or replace

If it works well restore from backup

Hi, download the latest iOS software on your phone, go to Settings > General > Software Update.

You can also reset all settings on your phone, go to Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings.

If the issue persists, you can restore your phone as new:

Still not working? You can bring your phone to the Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service provider. You can book an appointment on getsupport.apple.com or use the Apple Support app.
