Since my phone updated to the new software im having issues with my emails... All my deleted emails keep going back into my Inbox as unread. I now have 999 unread emails?? I keep deleting but they keep coming back. Also I can’t read certain emails which I need to read as they state “THIS MESSAGE HAS NOT BEEN DOWNLOADED FROM THE SERVER”

Any ideas?

Hi Amyams,

We understand you're having trouble with your email server connection. We're happy to help today.

Before getting into further steps, we'd recommend restarting your device if you haven't already done so. Restart your iPhone

If you're still having issues downloading or deleting messages, you'll want to remove and read the account to the Mail app. If this is regarding an iCloud email account you'll want to go to Settings > [your name] at the top > iCloud, then turn off the Mail option. Wait a few seconds and turn it back on.

If this is for a third party email account you'll want to go to Settings > Passwords & Accounts, select the email account then choose Delete Account. Once it's removed just select the Add Account option on the Passwords & Accounts page and follow the steps to add it back.

Add an email account to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

We hope this helps. Take care!

Hi Amyams,

Thanks for the update! If your Mail app is still having connection issues you'll want to try removing and reinstalling the Mail application. To remove it just tap and hold on the app icon then select Delete App. Once it's removed go in to the App Store, search for "Mail" and redownload the app. Once it has finished installing, just test it out to see if it still will not allow you to download or delete emails.

If you continue to have the issue, we recommend contacting Apple Support directly: Get Support

Cheers!
