Where has Ducking gone?

I was checking out some old podcast projects I had in GarageBand 6.0.5 and it had the options for ducking. I'm currently using the latest version of GarageBand and did dot realize it was not there. I can't seem to find any kind of option which would allow this. I've been doing it manually and would like to have the option to automate it like I did before.

Ducking is no longer available in GarageBand 10. The change from GarageBand '11 to, version 6.0.5 to GarageBand 10 removed many nice features - ducking, podcasts, the sound effect instruments.

It is the reason I kept GarageBand 6.0.5 around as long as possible and keep my older Macs running Mojave, so I can still use GarageBand 6.0.5.

When you open a project in GarageBand 10, that has been created with ducking applied, the volume automation curve will simulate the ducking effect.

You then can try to use the volume automation to improve the mix in a similar way, when you add additional regions.
