Can't remove (delete) apps

I just realized in the last 3 days that I can't remove any apps. I'm not talking about Apple apps, it is third party apps (VLC and Nextcloud desktop client for Mac) that I am trying to remove.

I have been using iTrash form OSXBytes for several years with no problems until 3 days ago. Their support team tells me I'm the first to report the problem. I have tried dragging the apps to Trash, but all that happens is the app returns to it's position in Launchpad.

I using a 2019 MacBook Pro running Catalina 10.15.6.

Suggestions would be greatly appreciated,

You need to locate the application(s) in the Applications folder on your Mac and drag them from there to the Trash.
