Apple airpods

Hello, I recently lost one side of my AirPod. When I try to find it on find my iPhone app it only show the location of my case Instead of the missing side...just wondering what need to be done to find the single lost one?

See How to find your lost AirPods - Apple Support. Presumably your iPhone and AirPod would need to be within Bluetooth range of each other, and there must still be enough charge in the AirPod for it to attempt Bluetooth connections. If it turns up you can then try to play a sound to help you locate it. Short of that you'll have to search the old fashioned way.
