The entire thing is a problem because you would have two of everything - duplicates everywhere. Which one do you want to use?

The best thing is to use the Setup Assistant which is only offered once during the initial setup of the new Mac. It will port over and create your account on the new Mac. If you set it up without that and then use Migration Assistant later, you will already have one account and MA will create another = duplicates galore.

I did that many years ago and it took me a week to try to sort it = the only solution was to delete the entire drive and start over with a new install.

I believe I used the same name at the time. And, I shudder what problems using two different accounts might bring: don't even know if you could use the same Apple ID or not - another can or worms. How would you decide which account to use to update an app? Most likely would need to do it for both accounts. That again may present a problem with Apple ID.

So, why would you even think of using a different account? It is much easier to have one account covering all in the Apple eco system.
